Birds & Bees is open daily 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., last entry at 4:45 p.m.
The Zoo is all a buzz this spring about the re-opening of Birds & Bees. This seasonal exhibit is designed to highlight the current struggles facing North American honeybees and provide an interactive experience in an outdoor aviary. Birds & Bees takes up residence in both the old Spider and Butterfly exhibits.

The bee exhibit will feature an up- close look at two busy bee hives. Inside the exhibit, visitors can examine what makes bees special and the role they play in agriculture.

The indoor bee exhibit segues almost seamlessly into the outdoor aviary that features approximately 500 budgies, commonly known as parakeets. In addition to viewing these beautiful birds, a keeper will offer opportunities to feed the birds by selling $1 seed branches. There is no separate charge for entering this exhibit.
