Memphis Zoo Honored as Highest Rated U.S. Zoo
The Memphis Zoo has been listed as the highest rated zoo in America by the 2008 Cultural Attraction Benchmark Report, conducted by Morey Group. Visitor surveys conducted at 37 different cultural attractions in America rated the Memphis Zoo as the leader in overall satisfaction among zoos.
“We really strive to connect people with wildlife in everything we do,” says Memphis Zoo president Chuck Brady. “We’re honored, and we’ll continue to make sure that our visitors have the best experience possible.”
The Zoo also received top honors as the Most Entertaining, Most Educational, Cleanest and Most Courteous Zoo. The Memphis Zoo tied for first place as the zoo guests would most likely recommend visiting.
This is the second time in as many years that the Zoo has received top honors. Last year, the world's largest travel community, TripAdvisor, named the Memphis Zoo the top zoo in the country according to traveler popularity and TripAdvisor editors.
